Department of General Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology @ Ospedale San Raffaele
The Department of General Medicine for Diabetes and Endocrine-Metabolic Medicine of Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan is a reference center for the study and treatment of diabetes, connected to the translational research institute Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), as well as the headquarters of the FID Center - INNODIA - IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele for the prevention of type 1 diabetes, in collaboration with the international consortium TrialNet.
The Department provides care activities as follows:
- Inpatient, for acute and chronic patients of General Medicine
- Day Hospital and outpatient, for patients belonging to the various disciplines of internal medicine (diabetes, endocrinology, metabolic diseases, autoimmune diseases and immunopathologies, hepatology)

- Algorithm integrated systems, incorporating wearable pumps for continuous insulin infusion used in combination with glucose sensors
