Coming to GSD
At Gruppo San Donato, we support every international patient with personalized guidance: from first contact to treatment and follow-up. Here’s how we can organize your care:
Use our online booking platform to schedule an appointment or video consultation directly. Alternatively, you can fill out the request form to receive more information or assistance. You may specify whether you're seeking a diagnosis, treatment, or a second opinion.
Once we receive your request, our team will review your case. If needed, we will schedule an initial video consultation or guide you through the next steps. If you've already had a first consultation with a GSD doctor, we can support you in organizing the rest of your care journey.
Based on your needs, we will provide a preliminary assessment and suggest the most appropriate path forward.
We’ll send you a proposed diagnostic or treatment pathway, including:
- Estimated costs and accepted payment methods
- Duration and structure of your medical program
- Any specific visa or travel documentation required.
Our International Patients Office will help you plan your stay in Italy, assisting with accommodation, transport, and any other logistics.
Once in Italy, you’ll be welcomed at one of our internationally accredited hospitals. Throughout your stay, a dedicated case manager will be available to support you.

We know that receiving treatment abroad can be challenging. That’s why we assign every international patient a dedicated coordinator who speaks your language and supports you at every step. Your coordinator will:
- Guide you through the admission process
- Interpret during medical visits
- Help you navigate your care journey within GSD.

Before your arrival, our team reviews your medical files to ensure the best care plan. We will:
- Match you with the right GSD facility
- Schedule necessary diagnostics and appointments
- Prepare a medical plan including length of stay and a cost estimate.
We ensure your comfort and safety throughout your hospitalization. You can choose from several room types, from private rooms to elegant suites, all equipped for your well-being. Our staff is here to meet not only your medical needs but also to make your stay as smooth and stress-free as possible.
After your discharge, you’ll receive a full summary of care and personalized follow-up instructions. Your care team may schedule follow-up appointments in-person or online to ensure continuity of care.
