The Shoulder Surgery Unit is one of the centres of excellence in the international scene for the treatment of all types of shoulder pathologies. The head physician and his team are well known shoulder surgeons for open and arthroscopic treatment of shoulder pathologies. The treatment of shoulder instability constitutes the strong point of this group as demonstrated by the many publications in international journals of high scientific calibre and supported by the large population of patients already undergoing interventional procedures for shoulder stabilization.

The scientific activity is aimed at perfecting the surgical and therapeutic methods of shoulder pathology. Particular attention is paid to the elaboration of biological and functional aspects with the development of surgical techniques, materials and dedicated tools.
