Pulmonology

Pulmonology area deals with disorders of the respiratory system and lungs, including oncologic and non-oncologic lung diseases. GSD provides both surgical and conservative treatments for lung pathologies.

Pulmonology area pays particular attention to pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary interstitial diseases; while Thoracic Surgery area is a national and international reference center for the diagnosis and treatment of chest pathologies, thanks to the use of the most modern techniques of bronchoscopy, minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

A Thoracic Endoscopy service is available for both for adult and pediatric patients. It is equipped with the most modern instruments, such as videobronchoscopy, laser, bronchial echoendoscopy, and electromagnetic navigation.
