Department of Neurophysiopathology @ Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio

The Department of Neurophysiopathology of Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio performs clinical diagnostics and applies instrumental techniques for the diagnosis of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.

The Department of Neurophysiopathology performs intraoperative monitoring in the operating room to assess nerve pathway function in Spinal, Oncologic and Neurological surgeries, applying multimodal methods that combine PESS, PEM, EMG free run, EEG and pedicle screw testing, reflex responses, ENG, which makes it a center of excellence in these areas.

The Department is the site of training for the undergraduate course in Neurophysiopathology Techniques at the University of Milan and for the Master's course of Science in Intraoperative Neurophysiopathology at the University of Milan.
