The clinical activity carried out in the Department of Interventional Cardiology of Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio is of a high quality standard thanks to the experience of highly qualified health care personnel committed to care and scientific research.

The Cardiology Department represents national excellence in structural cardiology activities, such as Percutaneous Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVI) and Percutaneous Mitral Valve Replacement (Mitraclip).

Interventional cardiology - Hemodynamics deals with cardiovascular diagnostics and interventional cardiac and coronary obstructive structural disease through the use of state-of-the-art technological instrumentation (FFR, DFR, IVUS and OCT; rotablator, shockwave).

In addition to the treatment of coronary and structural cardiac pathology, peripheral arterial obstructive disease (iliac-femoral and supra-aortic trunks) as well as aneurysmal pathology of the abdominal and thoracic aorta are treated at the Department of Interventional Cardiology.
