Alfonso Ielasi

Biography

Dr. Alfonso Ielasi is a cardiologist in the Department of Interventional cardiology at the Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2004 from the University "Alma Mater Studiorum" of Bologna. In 2008, he finished School of specialization in Cardiology from the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan, where he also obtained a Level II Master's Degree in Interventional Cardiology (2011).

Dr. Ielasi currently works as an interventional cardiologist dedicated to the diagnosis and percutaneous treatment of coronary, carotid, peripheral, structural valve (mitral and aortic) and congenital (interatrial defects and patency of the foramen ovale) pathologies.

As a researcher, he has authored and co-authored 128 scientific articles on percutaneous treatment of coronary artery disease (drug-eluting stents, bioresorbable vascular scaffold, calcific lesions, common trunk, drug-coated balloon) and structural (aortic and mitral) heart pathologies.
