Treatments of bicarbonate dialysis, HDF online, AFB-K with biocompatible membranes are carried out at the Nephrology and Dialysis Unit of the San Donato Research Hospital. Daytime and evening dialysis treatments are performed with the constant presence of a specialist physician.

Interventions for the establishment of arteriovenous fistulas are performed in collaboration with the vascular surgeon while procedures for tunnelled CVC placements are performed autonomously.

Specialist consultations are performed with access to the other departments, emergency rooms and intensive care Units (TYPE-TIG-UTIC) for continuous dialysis treatments (CRRT) in patients with acute renal failure and chronic dialysis.
