Biography

Dr. Ilaria Prandoni is a nutritionist-biologist at Istituto Clinico Sant'Ambrogio and Palazzo della Salute - Wellness Clinic.

She graduated from the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University of Milan in 2013, and in 2016 received a master's degree in food and Human Nutrition from the same university. 
Since writing her thesis, she has collaborated with some hospitals in the Milan area to conduct scientific research, disseminate the rules of proper nutrition and outpatient activities, thus acquiring special skills in drawing up individual nutrition plans and developing special diets for patients:

  • with diabetes,
  • with heart disease,
  • pregnant women,
  • with allergies/food intolerance,
  • athletes. 

Attended master classes:

  • In 2017, "Nutrition and Health" University of Milan.
  • in 2020, "Nutrition Science" Stanford Center for Health Education, Stanford Medicine.

Dr. Prandoni is engaged in the planning and development of diets for patients hospitalized in various operating units of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, who have encountered certain pathologies and need a special diet prescribed by a doctor.
At the Palazzo della Salute - Wellness Clinic, she is a nutritionist-biologist in the field of nutrition and collaborates with Dr. Lelio Francesco Morricone, where she performs:

  • dietitian's techniques,
  • individual nutrition consultations at the clinic.

She has always been interested in the issue of proper nutrition of people of school age (pre-adolescence and adolescence), collaborated in the EAT (Teenager Food Education) GSD Foundation project.
He is particularly interested in severe forms of obesity and in 2019 holds the position of a nutritionist in the Department of Nutritional Rehabilitation of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

Conducted experimental studies in the structural unit of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Ospedale Luigi Sacco in Milan regarding vitamin D deficiency in pregnant women.

She also participates in research activities in the Endocrinology Department, the Clinical Nutrition and Cardiometabolic Prevention Service of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
