Riccardo Sinigaglia

Dr. Riccardo Sinigaglia is the Head of the Orthopedic Operating Unit (Sec.) 7 of the Brescia City Clinical Institute.

In 2002, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua, where he then obtained his Specialization in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2008 as well as later the prestigious PhD in Clinical, Medical and Experimental Sciences - Neuroscience Address in 2011. 

He is a member of the Medical Association of Vicenza (No. VI 5095).

He is a former medical director at the Hospitals of Montecchio Maggiore (VI) and Vicenza.

After periods of training abroad, especially in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, U.S.A., he attended numerous Academic Super Specialty Courses such as Theoretical-Practical masters.

He focuses on primary and revision surgery, including both major prosthetic and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of:

• Hip,
• Knee,
• Vertebral Column.

In addition to precise and constant surgical activity, he has devoted himself to various scientific studies with publications in scientific journals, and reports at National and International Courses and Congresses.

In hip and knee surgery, primary or revision prosthetic, he uses and improves the Rapid Hospitalization protocol, which gives many patients a rapid return to home and normal activities, with hospitalization contained to 2-4 days.

In vertebral surgery, he deals not only with disc pathologies, but mainly with vertebral deformities such as Scoliosis and Spondylolisthesis, with anatomical correction and stabilization surgeries.

Dr. Sinigaglia is an active member of multiple national and international scientific societies such as:

• Eurospine - The Spine Society of Europe (S.S.E.);
• Italian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (S.I.O.T.);
• Italian Society of Vertebral Surgery and Italian Scoliosis Group (G.I.S.);
• Italian Society of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Traumatology (S.I.T.O.P.);
• Italian Society of Knee Arthroscopy Sports Cartilage Orthopedic Technologies (S.I.G.A.S.C.O.T.);
• Italian Society of Ankle and Foot (S.I.C.P.).

He carries out scientific and research activities, and actively participates as a speaker at multiple national and international congresses.

He is the author of a variety of publications in National and International Orthopaedic Scientific Journals, including the important European Spine Journal, Spine Journal and the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedic A, as well as the Italian Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and other Journals, all indexed in major scientific search systems.
