Biography

Dr. Domenico Zema - Orthopedic Surgeon of the University Group of Regenerative and Reconstructive Orthopedics (E.U.O.R.R.) IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi and Istituto Clinico Sant'Ambrogio.

In 1997, he graduated from the Medical and Surgical Faculty of the University of Messina, where in 2002 he specialized in orthopedics and traumatology.

From 2002 to 2009, he is the head of the 1st level in the structural unit of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Ospedale di Susa; from 2009 to 2010 he works at the Ospedale di Grosseto, from 2012 to 2015 he works at the Presidio ospedaliero in Saronno. From 2016 to mid-2021, he was the Level I Medical Director in the complex structure of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Presidio Ospedaliero Fatebenefratelli.

Dr. Zema mainly deals with:

  • Planned orthopedic surgery: hip and knee joint prosthetics,
  • Arthroscopy of the knee joint with the restoration of meniscus, cartilage and ligaments,
  • Corrective surgery of the forefoot, including rheumatoid arthritis,
  • Traumatological surgery of the upper and lower extremities.

He is a member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy.
