Antonio Pellegrini
Biography
Dr. Antonio Virginio Pellegrini is the Head of the Operative Unit of Reconstructive Surgery and Osteo-Articular Infections (C.R.I.O.) of the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi.
In 1988, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where in 1993 he obtained specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology.
He was Assistant Fellow at the Knee Surgery Center and at the II Division of the Gaetano Pini Orthopaedic Institute in Milan, where in 1998 he became First Level Medical Director at the COS Department (Orthopaedic Surgery).
In 2016, he was the Head of the Orthopedics Unit at the San Siro Clinical Institute; in 2017, he was President of the Italian Group for the Study and Therapy of Osteoarticular Infections.
Since 2018, he is the Head of the Operative Unit of Reconstructive Surgery and Osteo-Articular Infections (C.R.I.O.) of the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi.
During his career, he published numerous scientific articles in national and international journals as author and co-author.
