Alessio Lovi

Biography

Dr. Alessio Lovi is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology and co-director of the functional department of vertebral surgery III Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi. He is also a visiting specialists at the Zucchi Wellness Clinic – Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza.

In 1999 he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan and in 2004 he received a specialization in orthopedics and traumatology at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

In 2011 Dr. Lovi received a European Diploma in Spine Treatment from the Spine Society of Europe in Switzerland.

His exclusive area of scientific and clinical interests is degenerative pathologies and deformities of the spine during development and in adults.

Since 2005 he has been working in the Functional Department of Vertebral Surgery III – Scoliosis of the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan, of which he has been co-director since 2011.

As the first surgeon, he performed hundreds of operations and is the author of numerous publications for national and international scientific books and journals.

Dr. Lovi actively participates in numerous national and international congresses and training courses on the topic of spinal pathology as a teacher, speaker, and moderator.

He is a member of GIS (Italian Society for Spine Surgery), SSE (Eurospine, the Spine Society of Europe) and member of the Scientific Board of EMSPOD (Euromediterranean Society of Pediatrics in Orthopedic Disease) and SOLAS (Society of lateral access surgey).

From 2017 to October 2021 he was also an active member of the Eurospine Membership Council.
