Biography

Dr. Alessandro Galluzzo is an orthopedic and trauma surgeon in the Knee Surgery II and Arthroscopic Surgery Unit at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant’Ambrogio.

After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, he completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same university, earning top marks.

During his training, he focused on joint reconstructive surgery, sports traumatology, and minimally invasive and robotic hip and knee prosthetic surgery.

In 2021, he completed a fellowship at AZ Monica Orthopedic Center in Antwerp, Belgium, to further specialize in minimally invasive hip replacement techniques.

Dr. Galluzzo has a particular interest in regenerative medicine, a rapidly evolving field offering innovative conservative treatment options for many orthopedic conditions. Integrated into clinical practice, regenerative medicine helps improve patient outcomes and, when possible, delay the need for surgery.

He is also actively involved in orthopedic research, particularly in biomedical engineering and the modeling of musculoskeletal systems for clinical application. He has authored several publications in indexed scientific journals.

Dr. Galluzzo regularly participates in national and international orthopedic conferences.
