Biography

Dr. Tommaso Aloisio is an anesthesiologist and resuscitator of the Department of Anesthesia and Cardiovascular Intensive Care of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

In 2004, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of L'Aquila, where in 2008 he received a specialization in anesthesia and intensive care.

During his specialization, he visited numerous affiliated hospitals in various surgical specialties and spent his final year in France at the Hôpital Henri-Mondor (Créteil, Paris), where he prepared a dissertation on the role of transesophageal echocardiography in major liver surgery.

After a short visit to Policlinico Tor Vergata in Rome, Dr. Aloisio began his clinical career at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in 2009 as an anesthetist in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Hemodynamics, and Electrophysiology in adults and children with acquired and congenital heart diseases.

He has special skills in coagulation, mechanical circulatory support and hemodynamic monitoring with transesophageal echocardiography.

He is the co-author of several scientific articles relating to clinical research in cardiac surgery and is a member of the Board of Directors of ITACTA (Italian Association of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist).

He speaks at numerous national and international conferences.
