Biography

Dr. Silvia Nozza is an infectious diseases physician at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele Turro under the supervision of Professor Antonella Castagna, where she heads the Functional Department of Prevention and Vaccination.

After graduating from the University of Milan in Medicine and Surgery in 1998, she specialized in infectious diseases in 2004 at the Vita Salute San Raffaele University of Milan.

Clinically, Dr. Nozza is an expert in the field of HIV and Sars-Cov-2 infection, as well as in the field of vaccination; in addition, she has gained special experience in the prevention of HIV infection, as well as in the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.

As for the field of research, the doctor is the main researcher of INACTION (Italian Network of Acute HIV Infection), within which she coordinates the work of 20 Italian centers, as well as the main researcher of GEPPO (Geriatric Patients Living with HIV/AIDS), a promising multidimensional HIV study/AIDS.

She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles published in international journals and book chapters. She constantly participates in international congresses and conferences in the industry.
