Biography

Dr. Roberto Teggi is an otolaryngologist in the Department of Otolaryngology at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele under the supervision of Professor Mario Bussi.

After graduating from the University of Pavia in medicine and surgery in 1983, he specialized in otolaryngology in 1987 at the University of Milan. Finally, he received the national qualification of Professor of otolaryngology and audiology.

From a clinical point of view, Dr. Teggi pays special attention to diseases of the inner ear, dealing with dizziness, imbalance, tinnitus and other pathologies of the inner ear.

From the point of view of research activity, the main subjects of Dr. Teggi's study are: genetics of Meniere's disease and vestibular migraine, clinical manifestations and causes of chronic persistent postural instability and tinnitus therapy.

In addition, the doctor is a full member of the Barany Society and Dizzynet - European network initiative for vertigo and balance Research, as well as a founding member of the Italian Society of Vestibology. In addition, Dr. Teggi is part of the European Consortium for the Study of Meniere's Disease and acts as the coordinator of another European consortium for the study of vestibular migraine.

He is the author and co-author of more than 50 publications in national and international scientific journals and book chapters. His Hirsch index is 16. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
