Dr. Rafaella Greco is a hematologist in the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele under the supervision of Professor Fabio Ciceri.
After graduating in 2008 from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan Vita-Salute San Raffaele received a specialization in hematology at the same university in 2014.
Clinically, Dr. Greco is engaged in providing assistance to patients with hematological diseases during their treatment in the department. In particular, she is engaged in the clinical management of patients who have undergone autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation, with oncohematological and autoimmune pathologies. Finally, among the various skills developed by the doctor, we note the use of clinical ultrasound in urgent cases, for which she took several advanced training courses.
With regard to research, clinical and translation activities, Dr. Greco pays special attention to: allogeneic HSC transplantation, biomarkers and postallogeneic HSC transplantation, HSC transplantation in autoimmune diseases.
In addition, the doctor cooperates with EBMT (European Blood and Marrow Transplantation Group) and GITMO (Italian Bone Marrow Transplantation Group) and is an active member of EBMT, in particular, ADWP (AutoImmune Disease Working Party) and CTIWP (Cellular Therapy & Immunobiology Working Party).
She is the author and co-author of publications in national and international scientific journals. Constantly participates in national and international industry courses and conferences.
