Piergiorgio Malagoli
Biography
Dr. Piergiorgio Malagoli is a dermatologist and Head of the Psocare Unit at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
In 1991, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Pavia University, where in 1996 he also received a specialization in dermatology and venereology.
In 1997, he worked at the Clinica Dermatologica Policlinico San Matteo, Pavia, in the dermatological surgery outpatient clinic.
In 1998, he took up the position of outpatient dermatologist at the Policlinico San Donato, and in 2000 – at the Istituto Clinico San Siro.
In 2002, he founded the Psocare Unit at the Policlinico San Donato, the main reference structure in Italy for the diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
Dr. Malagoli also specializes in:
- dermosurgery
- dermoncology
- dermatology and venereal diseases
- oncological dermatology
- dermosiphilopathy.
He is also engaged in the study, management and development of biological drugs, small molecules and innovative drugs for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
Dr. Malagoli is the principal investigator in numerous phase III studies to develop new molecules for the treatment of chronic inflammatory dermatological diseases.
