Biography

Professor Paolo Daniele Pigatto is the Head of the Department of Dermatology at the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio in Milan and Professor of Dermatology at the University of Milan. 

In the late 1970s, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan, where he specialized in dermatology and venereology (1980) and clinical allergology and immunology (1983). Then he conducts a master class on the therapy and prevention of diabetic foot.

Collaborates with prestigious journals such as Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Allergy & Asthma Proceedings. He is the author of 414 publications, including scientific articles, book chapters and monographs, and participates as a speaker at national and international meetings and conferences on dermatological allergology.

Among the various prestigious positions he holds, Professor Paolo Pigatto has been Director of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Group for the Study of Environmental Contact Dermatitis (GIRDCA), President of the Italian Society of Dermatologists and Professional Environmental Allergists (SIDAPA) and the Skin Allergy Research Group SIDEMAST, in which he is currently a Director.
