Biography
Dr. Monica Barki is a cardiologist at the Cardiovascular Imaging Service of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele. She also collaborates with the Cardinal Schuster Outpatient Clinic and Punto RAF De Gasperi.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2019 and will complete her specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in 2025.
She carried out part of her medical training in France at the Louis Pradel Hospital in Lyon (2017–2018). In 2019, she attended the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at Luigi Sacco Hospital – University of Milan.
Dr. Barki has contributed to the drafting and development of several papers published in international journals (H-index 4), in addition to serving as an active reviewer for multiple journals. She has also participated as a speaker, presenting her own research, at major international congresses such as ESC, ACC, and EuroECHO.
Currently, she works as a consulting cardiologist in the Cardiovascular Imaging Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, where she primarily performs diagnostic imaging (transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms) for the Hemodynamics, Arrhythmology, and Cardiac Surgery services. She is also involved in intraprocedural imaging during interventional procedures such as transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve repairs, percutaneous left atrial appendage closure, and PFO closure.
