Biography

Dr. Micol Angela Valle is a neurosurgeon of the Neurosurgery Department of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele under the supervision of Professor Pietro Mortini.

After graduating from the University of Milan in 1997 with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, she received a specialization in neurosurgery with honors in 2002 at the Vita Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. In 2003, she graduated from the Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Course at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

Dr. Valle has performed more than 1,500 surgical interventions in adults suffering from oncological pathology of the spine and skull (gliomas, ependymomas, neuromas, cerebral lymphomas, meningiomas, and brain metastases), vascular injuries, hydrocephalus and traumatic brain injuries. She has performed more than 4,000 procedures of stereotactic radiosurgery using a gamma knife.

The doctor's scientific contributions (Hirsch Index 6) appear in international indexed journals such as: Journal of Neurosurgery, Acta Neurosurgica, and Neurosurgery. She constantly participates as a speaker at national and international scientific conferences in this field.
