Biography

Dr. Marco Rossi is a neurosurgeon of the Department of Neurosurgery and the Oncological Neurosurgery Group at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi.

In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Medical Biotechnology of the University of Milan, and in 2014 – the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the same university; in 2020, he specializes in neurosurgery.

In November 2015, a training course for specialists began in the Department of Operative Oncological Neurosurgery under the supervision of Professor Bello.

He is mainly engaged in neuro-oncological surgery with methods of intraoperative brain mapping, paying special attention to glial pathology.   

The main direction of research is the anatomical and functional characteristics of the circuits involved in the control of the motor system.

He has been involved in the development of intraoperative tests to improve functional outcomes in patients undergoing brain tumor resection.

He has also collaborated with international groups on the molecular characterization of glial lesions.

Dr. Rossi has published a total of 31 scientific papers with the Hirsch Index 10.
