Marco Pivetta
Biography
Dr. Marco Pivetta is an orthopedic surgeon in the Prosthetic Surgery Unit for shoulder, hip, and knee at Istituto Clinico San Siro.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1986 from the University of Milan, where he later specialized in Orthopedics in 1991 and in Hand Surgery in 1996.
Since 1986, he has worked at the Gaetano Pini Institute in Milan, initially as a Research Fellow in the 2nd Orthopedic Division and the Hand Surgery Department. He then served as an Orthopedic Assistant in the Dysplastic Hip Surgery Department and in the 3rd Orthopedic Division, and later as a Level I Medical Officer in the Orthotraumatology Unit 1, Orthotraumatology Unit 3, and in the 2nd University Orthopedic Clinic.
He specializes in prosthetic surgery of major joints (hip, knee, and shoulder) and hand surgery.
Since 1991, he has held the role of lecturer in Biomechanics of Human Movement – Degree Course in Motor and Sports Sciences – Faculty of Medicine and Surgery / Faculty of Education at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. He currently serves as a Subject Expert.
