Luigia Brugliera
Biography
Dr. Luigia Brugliera, physiotherapist, specialist in the field of neurorehabilitation and pain therapy, heads the specialized Department for Motor Rehabilitation of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.
In 2008, she received a higher education in medicine and surgery, and in 2015, a specialization in physical and rehabilitation medicine at the University of Katana. In 2018, she received a Master's degree in Pain Medicine level II in Advanced Algology Research. In 2019, she received the title of Doctor of Neuroscience at the University of Genoa.
Her career began with a post-graduate work in the Comprehensive Department of Operative Neurology and Neurorehabilitation of the Ospedaliera University of Catania. From 2010 to 2012, he attended numerous operating departments in the province of Catania: neurology (Azienda Ospedaliera di Cannizzaro), pain therapy (Azienda Ospedaliera Policlinico Universitario), children's rehabilitation (Casa di Cura Villa Sandra in San Giovanni la Punta) and neurorehabilitation (Casa di Cura Villa dei Gerani).
Later she attended the Department of Rehabilitation and Functional Rehabilitation Fondazione Salvatore Maugeri in Pavia (2012-2013), the Department of unipolar spinal surgery Ospedaliera Cannizzaro in Catania (2013) and the Department of Rehabilitation and anesthesia Ospedale di Pietra Ligure. (2013-2015).
In the period 2015-2016, she became an Ambulatorio di Fisiatria Interventist di Villa Caramora and an assistant physiotherapist in the Department of Bone and Joint Rehabilitation of the Italian Auxological Institute of Verbania. In 2016, she held the position of a paramedic-physiotherapist in the operative department of neurorehabilitation of the Italian Auxological Institute in Milan.
Since 2015, cannabis has been prescribed for medical use in the field of pain therapy.
Author and co-author of international scientific publications, Dr. Luigia Brugliera is a member of such scientific societies as SIRN (Italian Society for Neurological Rehabilitation), ARSOP (Scientific Society of Specialists in Medical Rehabilitation in a Private hospital), and since 2012 has been the national secretary of the specialized department of SIMFER and is currently a shareholder of the company.
