Giuseppe Strangio

Dr. Giuseppe Strangio is a gastroenterologist at the Department of Internal Diseases of the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi.

In 2000, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Messina, and in 2004 he again specialized in gastroenterology and endoscopy of the digestive tract at the same university.

In 2008, he received a PhD degree in the field of new technologies for the diagnosis and prevention of tumor diseases of the colon.

From 2007 to 2008, he completed advanced training in endoscopy of the digestive tract in the structural unit of Gastroenterology at the Ospedale Maresca in Torre del Greco.

From 2008 to 2014, he has been working full-time, carrying out clinical and research activities in the Department of Endoscopy of the digestive tract of Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano and in the Department of Gastroenterology; during this period, he performs thousands of diagnostic and operative endoscopic procedures of the digestive apparatus and thousands of receptions as a gastroenterologist.

From 2014 to the present day, he has been engaged in clinical therapy at the Istituto clinico Humanitas Hospital Service in Rozzano, where he carried out perioperative clinical management of thousands of patients who underwent hip, knee and shoulder joint replacement surgery.

He is an adjunct professor of Teaching Medical Semiotics and Internal Medicine at Humanitas University in Rozzano.

He is engaged in, in particular:

• clinical gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy with special attention to acid-dependent pathologies of the stomach and esophagus,
• functional, inflammatory and neoplastic pathologies of the colon,
• general internal medicine with a special interest in the perioperative clinical management of patients who have undergone orthopedic surgery.

He is a co-author of dozens of scientific publications on gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy, in national and international journals.
