Giulio Frontino

Dr. Giulio Frontino is a pediatrician at the Pediatric Unit of the San Raffaele Research Hospital directed by Dr. Graziano Barera.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (UniSR) in 2007, where he also completed a specialization in pediatrics in 2014. In 2018 he received a Level II Master's degree in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Turin (Università degli Studi di Torino). Also, in 2020, he received a Level II Master's degree in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (UniSR).

In his clinical activities, Dr. Frontino basis takes care on the daily of pediatric patients at the emergency department, cases of pediatric endocrinology and of pediatric diabetology. In the field of pediatric diabetology, Dr. Frontino focuses on the early stages of ketoacidosis, on the use of technology (insulin pumps, sensors, artificial pancreas, telemetry monitoring systems) and on the monogenic diabetes (in particular, Wolfram syndrome).

Dr. Frontino is a Research Fellow at the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) in Milan and at the JENIOUS group of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD). He also collaborates with AISPO as a pediatrician and a consultant for pediatric diabetes for the Associazione Sostegno70.

Dr. Frontino is author and co-author of over 30 scientific publications in national and international journals. His h index is 8. He is a regular participant in national and international congresses of the sector.
