Biography

Professor Fabrizio Ernesto Pregliasco is currently the Head of Healthcare at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazza in Milan, as well as a full-time researcher in the field of General and Applied Hygiene at the University of Milan. He is also the Director of the National Council for Economy and Labor (CNEL) and a member of the National Council of the Third Sector of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Rome.

His studies began in 1986 with a degree in medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan, followed by the first specialization in hygiene and preventive medicine with a focus on public health (1990) and the second in Toxicology (1994) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Milan.

In 1987 he started his career at the Fondazione Istituto Sacra Famiglia (a non-profit social purpose organization) in Cesano Boscone, province of Milan: after an initial collaboration as an assistant hygienist, in 1995 he became Director of Health. Thanks to his contribution, the structure has a significant increase in annual turnover in parallel with an increase in the number of human resources. Thus, from 2008 to 2015, he held the positions of scientific supervisor and head of the sanitary and organizational service.

Since 2013, he has been the National President of ANPAS - the National Association of Public Assistance and Vice President of SAMI Samaritan International.

In 2015, he became the Head of Healthcare at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan, a Center for the Management of Diseases of the Musculoskeletal System, where 3,300 prosthetics and 1,000 spine arthrodesis operations are performed annually.

Since 2005, he has been an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan in the section of Disciplines of General and Applied Hygiene. He teaches at the Master's degree in Medicine and Surgery, at the courses of specialization in hygiene and preventive medicine, oncology and odontostomatology, as well as at the courses of dental hygienist, orthopedist, occupational therapist, nursing, health care.

Scientific activity is reflected in the publication of more than 150 articles in national and international journals and participation as a speaker and/or moderator at numerous conferences of national and international importance. Author of expert opinions for the European registration of vaccines and anti-influenza drugs, during his career he participated in 12 clinical trials of vaccines and antiviral drugs.

Winner of the award of the National Scientific and Medical Information Union (UNAMSI) in 2016 for the dissemination of scientific information, Professor Fabrizio Pregliasco currently holds the positions of President and Director of Health of the Association of Voluntary First Aid and Civil Protection "Rho Soccorso Public Assistance", member of ANPAS (National Association of Public Assistance) with headquarters in Rho, Milan.
