Fabio Mauro
Biography
Dr. Fabio Mauro is a gynecologist at the Unit of Gynecology and Obstetrics of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele directed by Professor Massimo Candiani.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1996, he specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the same university in 2003.
Clinically, Dr. Mauro works in the delivery room, on an outpatient basis and at the pregnancy pathology inpatient unit.
The doctor is a referent for prenatal ultrasound and invasive diagnosis of the first trimester and is in fact an expert in particular fetal malformations, performs level II ultrasound, fetal echocardiography and invasive procedures in utero.
In addition, he has developed a particular interest in fetal surgery and ultrasound and biochemical screening of fetal chromosomal abnormalities.
Dr. Mauro also performs teaching activities to students of the degree course in Medicine and Surgery and to the doctors of the School of Specialization in Gynecology of the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele. He is also a tutor in prenatal diagnosis and for obstetric surgical activities. He coordinates the doctors specializing in prenatal diagnosis in the activities of updating, communication with patients and scientific reports to colleagues
He is co-author of numerous publications in national and international scientific journals. He constantly participates in national and international congresses of the sector.
