Biography

Professor Erberto Paresce is a consultant rheumatologist at la Casa di Cura La Madonnina.

After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1974, he again specialized in rheumatology at the same university (1977) and subsequently in physiotherapy (physiotherapy and rehabilitation) (1980).

From 1979 to 2012, Professor is the medical director of the Rheumatology Department of Istituto Ortopedico Gaetano Pini, and is currently a freelancer at Casa di Cura La Madonnina.

In his work, Paresce has always dealt with the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases, that is, diseases of the musculoskeletal system in their inflammatory manifestations, affecting both the synovial membrane (arthritis) and the cartilaginous and articular environment (osteoarthritis), and extra-articular pathologies with damage to tendons and muscles. Thanks to his interest in joint pathologies, he conducted, among other things, more than 470 diagnostic and therapeutic arthroscopies in the field of rheumatic diseases.

More than 200 publications have been devoted to this topic, along with participation in congresses and courses, in many cases led and organized by him personally.
