He is also an expert in the treatment of superficial vein pathology by surgical methods, minimally invasive endovascular ablation methods (radiofrequency ablation, mechanochemical ablation) and in the treatment of pathology of the deep vein system: treatment of acute venous thrombosis by thrombectomy and complex reconstructions, treatment of chronic thrombosis by endovascular recanalization and stenting, compression syndromes (May-Turner syndrome, Nutcracker syndrome). He is an active member of the Pelvic Department of Ospedale San Raffaele as an expert on pelvic congestion syndrome. He has performed more than 3,000 operations as the first surgeon.

Dr. Baccellieri is the author of 1 monograph “Vasi viscerali e Chirurgia Aortica” and 23 scientific publications in international journals.
