Biography

Dr. Davide Varotto is an orthopedic surgeon at the Functional Foot Surgery Unit of the Brescia City Clinical Institute.

He received his medical degree in 1994 at the University of Padua.

He specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1999 at the same university.

Dr. Varotto specializes in Foot Medicine and Surgery and is involved in that field since 1999. 

He has performed as a first surgeon more than 5000 mainly forefoot foot and ankle surgeries such as:

  • hallux valgus
  • hallux rigidus
  • metatarsalgia of external rays Morton's neuroma. 

He has also performed numerous procedures for the treatment of flat foot in children and adults.

He has participated in numerous national and international in-depth courses and as the first speaker at numerous courses and congresses in foot and ankle clinic and surgery.  

He has numerous publications to his credit as first author on pathologies of the Foot and Ankle, in particular on Morton's neuroma pathology that he treats non-invasively with ultrasound-guided alcoholization cycle (more than 2500 patients treated, most important case history nationally and internationally).

Former councilor of SICP (Italian Ankle and Foot Society) still a member of the Italian and European Foot and Ankle Society.
