Cristina Ogliari

Biography

Dr. Cristina Ogliari is a gastroenterologist at the Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio. She also collaborates with Istituto Clinico San Siro and Smart Clinic.

She graduated from the University of Milan in 1997 with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, where in 2002 she received her residency in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy. Later in 2006, she also obtained her specialization in Liver and Exchange Diseases at the same university.

Her work has been mainly at the outpatient level with initial activity in basic endoscopic examinations, specializing over time in the area of functional diseases and digestive pathophysiology. 

Dr. Ogliari is a referral to the Digestive Pathophysiology Outpatient Clinic where she also performs outpatient activities and gastroenterology visits.

Over the years, she has deepened the study and techniques to diagnose and treat functional diseases of the digestive system, in particular:

  • Irritable bowel syndrome,
  • Chronic constipation,
  • Chronic diarrhea,
  • Fecal incontinence,
  • Obstructed defecation,
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease,
  • Achalasia,
  • Gastroenterological complications of autoimmune diseases. 

Dr. Ogliari conducts outpatient examinations dedicated to these diseases and digestive pathophysiology examinations such as:

  • Anorectal manometry;
  • Transanal ultrasonography;
  • Esophageal manometry;
  • 24-hour esophageal pH / pH impedance testing.
