Ciro Pesce
Biography
Dr. Ciro Pesce is a surgeon of the Department of General Surgery of the Esophageal Center of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato and Smart Clinic
In 1988, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Naples Federico II and at the same university, in 1993, he received a specialization in pediatric surgery. Subsequently, he received a specialization in urology at the University of Parma (2008) and in 2016 - a specialization in general surgery at the University of Padua.
He is engaged in pediatric urology at l'ospedale di Vicenza and l'ospedale di Legnano and has numerous internships in Italy and abroad in children's hospitals. Since 2005, he has been working as a general surgeon in Vicenza, focusing on general gastroenterological, coloproctological and minimally invasive surgery. He deepens his specialization in adult urology, paying special attention to endourology and minimally invasive urology, and also conducts his own clinical activities in France. He also received a master's degree in advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (Institute for Research on Cancer of the Digestive System, Strasbourg, France) and Minimally invasive Urological Surgery (University of Halle, Leipzig, Germany).
He is a consultant at the University Department of General Surgery and Esophageal Center of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato and Smart Clinic, headed by Professor Bonavina.
Dr. Pesce has 30 publications to his credit as the first author in international journals on pediatric surgery.
