Carmelo Italiano
Biography
Dr. Carmelo Italiano is a contract orthopedist at the orthopedic clinic of the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi.
In 1984, he received a Doctor of Medicine and surgery degree from the University of Modena, in 1989 he received a bachelor's degree in orthopedics from the same university.
Since 1992, he has been a competent doctor in the field of occupational medicine in the Lombardy region. In 1998, he received a bachelor's degree in radiology from the University of Milan.
He continues his education and in 2008 receives a diploma in osteopathic manual medicine at the University of Paris-Bobigny.
In a group headed by Prof. Valerio Sansone, engaged in:
- the study of biophysical stimulation of soft tissues
- performs outpatient activities with shock waves as a member of SITOD (Italian Society for Shock Wave Therapy).
He is a co-author of the chapters "Dissecting osteochondritis and degenerative arthropathies" in the “Manuale pratico di terapia con onde d'urto” P. Busnelli.
From 1985 to 2011, Dr. Italiano was a paramedic of the Aviation Sanitary Corps, his last position was director of the Infermeria Principale of Milan with the rank of full-time colonel.
