Carlo Maria Zampori
Biography
Dr. Carlo Maria Zampori is the chief surgeon at Casa di Cura la Madonnina.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan in 1982. The following year, he enrolled in the Registry of Doctors in Milan under the number 22826. In 1987, he received a specialization in surgery of the digestive system and digestive endoscopy at the University of Milan. In 1994, he received additional specialization in emergency surgery and first aid.
From 1993 to 1995, he has been teaching as a lecturer of the integrated course of general surgery at the University of Milan.
From 2004 to 2007, he was the coordinator of the Operating Department of Colonoproctology at the Diagnostic Center of Milan
Since 2013, he has been the Medical Director of the Department of General Polytrauma Surgery at the Ospedaliera San Carlo Borromeo in Milan.
Dr. Zampori specializes in Digestive system surgery, Digestive Endoscopy and Emergency surgery. He has more than 8000 surgical interventions to his credit and deals with all diseases related to the digestive system, with a special interest in colorectal surgery, proctological surgery and treatment of gallstone disease.
He performed as the first surgeon:
- planned and urgent extensive abdominal surgeries,
- general laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery,
- proctological surgery with special attention to anal and rectal prolapse surgery,
- phlebological surgery and outpatient surgery.
It uses minimally invasive and advanced techniques. He is engaged in the treatment of inguinal hernias and abdominal wall hernias in a day hospital. Performs outpatient operations.
