Carlo D'Angelo
Biography
Dr. Carlo D'Angelo is the Head of the General Surgery Unit at the Istituto di Cura Città di Pavia. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 2001 and specialized in General Surgery with a focus on Emergency Surgery in 2007.
Following his studies, Dr. D'Angelo specialized in Hepatobiliary, Gastroenterological, Senological, and General Surgery, including both Week-Surgery and Day-Surgery. He has performed over 2,500 surgical procedures, with 1,000 of them as the lead surgeon. He routinely uses advanced techniques such as video-laparoscopy.
In his outpatient work, he averages about 400 procedures annually.
Dr. D'Angelo is also responsible for coordinating on-call doctors at the Istituto di Cura Città di Pavia and serves as a Tutor for the School of General Medicine (since 2010). His scientific contributions have been published in national journals. Recent publications include:
