Biography

Professor Bruno Michele Marelli is an orthopedic surgeon at Casa di Cura La Madonnina.

In 1975, he received a Doctor of Medicine and surgery degree from the University of Milan, where he also received a bachelor's degree in Orthopedics and traumatology in 1978. In 1985, he also received a specialization in emergency and emergency surgery.

From 1985 to 1995, he was abroad as a visiting physician in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Florida, at the Endo Clinic in Hamburg and in city of Phoenix in Arizona.

Since 1995 - Associate Professor at the University of Milan.

Since 2002, he has been the Director and Chief Physician of the Surgical Department for complex cases in the field of orthopedics and Traumatology at Istituto Ortopedico Gaetano Pini-Milano.

Since 2011 - Head of the Department of Orthotraumatology Istituto Ortopedico Gaetano Pini-Milano.

From 2016 to 2018, he is the Director of the Department of Orthopedics/Traumatology and Specialized Surgery of Gaetano Pini-CTO-Milano.

Professor Marelli is an expert in orthopedic and traumatological surgery, with more than 10,000 operations to his credit. He is also engaged in joint and orthopedic reconstructive surgery of the first implantation and restoration.

Professor Marelli is also:

  • President of Orthopedic Traumatologists of the Lombardy region
  • Member of the Board of Directors A. I. R (Italian Restoration Association)
  • Member of the Board of Directors of S. I. d.A (Italian Hip Joint Society)

He is the author of 145 publications with 3 monographs in volumes.
