Annalisa Mancin
Biography
Dr. Annalisa Mancin is a General Surgeon and currently serves as the Head of General Surgery at Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo.
She graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 1996 and later obtained a specialization in General Surgery at the same university with top marks. Dr. Mancin further enhanced her training through advanced laparoscopic colorectal and gastric surgery internships and participated as a Visiting Surgeon at the Pancreatic Surgery unit in Heidelberg, led by Prof. Buechler.
Dr. Mancin has significant experience in oncological surgery of the digestive system and emergency surgery. She has performed over 1,000 surgeries as the lead surgeon, handling highly complex procedures in digestive system surgery using both laparoscopic and traditional techniques.
For 12 years, she worked full-time in the General Surgery Unit of the Istituto Clinico Humanitas Gavazzeni in Bergamo, serving as an Assistant Surgeon. She later held the position of Acting Head of the General Surgery Unit at the same institute from May 2021 to October 2021.
Currently, Dr. Mancin is the Director of General Surgery at the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo in Vigevano. She performs complex surgeries, including:
- Total or subtotal gastrectomy
- Right and left hemicolectomy
- Anterior rectal resections
- Total or subtotal colectomy, both open and laparoscopic
She also focuses on pancreatic and liver surgery, with a particular interest in metastasectomy. Her practice includes routine procedures such as:
- Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
- Inguinal hernioplasty using both open and laparoscopic techniques
- Proctology surgeries
