Biography

Dr. Andrei Fodor is a physician specializing in radiation therapy in the Radiation Oncology Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, under the direction of Professor Nadia Gisella Di Muzio.

He obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1996 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj Napoca, Romania, where he specialized in Oncological Radiation Therapy in 2001. He then earned the equivalent degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sassari in 2002 and completed his specialization in Oncological Radiation Therapy at the University of Milan in 2006.

Dr. Fodor focuses on treatments using advanced radiation therapy techniques (IGRT, IMRT) and stereotactic radiation therapy (utilizing Gamma Knife and CyberKnife). He cares for patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma, breast cancer, prostate cancer, gynecological tumors, and central nervous system tumors.

He is a member of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS), the Italian Association of Oncological Radiotherapy (AIRO), and Multicenter Italian Trials in Ovarian Cancer and Gynecologic Malignancies (MITO). Additionally, he serves as a Review Editor for "Frontiers in Oncology."

Dr. Fodor is an academic and operational tutor at the School of Specialization in Radiation Therapy at the University of Milan-Bicocca.

He has obtained National Scientific Qualification for the position of associate professor in the sector of Imaging Diagnostics, Radiation Therapy, and Neuroradiology (directorial decree 553/2021, rectified by directorial decree 589/2021).

As an author and co-author of numerous publications, he actively participates in national and international congresses in the field.
