Andrea Domenico Califano
Biography
Dr. Andrea Domenico Califano is a bariatric surgeon at the National Institute for the Treatment of Obesity (INCO) under the direction of Professor Giovanelli at the Policlinico San Donato Clinical Research Institute.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Messina in 2006 and specialized in general surgery at the University of Magna Graecia in Catanzaro in 2012.
He spent the first four years of his training at the Hospital Ospedali Riuniti di Reggio Calabria, attending the Department of General and Thoracic Surgery, headed by Professor Lirici; then he spent another two years at the Hospital Ospedale Niguarda, attending the Department of General Surgery, headed by Professor Pugliese.
Dr. Califano is a specialist in the surgical treatment of obesity and is a member of the SICOB (Italian Society for the Surgical Treatment of Obesity).
He is currently involved in the treatment of obesity, conducting examinations at the Research Clinical Institute Policlinico San Donato, Palazzo della Salute, as well as at the INCO (National Institute for the Treatment of Obesity) outpatient departments located in Varese, Crema, Lamezia Terme, Reggio di Calabria, Messina and Noto.
