Biography
Dr. Alessandro Corsi is the Head of the Department of Vulnology at the Ospedale San Raffaele Clinical Research Institute.
After graduating in 1994 from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence, he specialized in general surgery in 2000 at the same university.
After receiving his Certificate of Completion in Emergency Medicine in 2007, organized by the Region of Tuscany and Harvard Medical International in Boston, he completed his Master’s Degree in Vulnology from the University of Turin in 2009. He completed his education in 2015 with a Wound Care Specialist Diploma from the IAWC (Italian Academy of Wound Care).
In terms of clinical activity, Dr. Corsi is an expert in the treatment of skin lesions, both acute (trauma, burns, surgical injuries) and chronic (ulcers and pressure ulcers). In particular, in order to heal injuries, the doctor has developed a special expertise using the most modern technologies in the field of regenerative medicine.
In terms of research, the doctor focuses on the study of skin lesions and regenerative medicine, with particular emphasis on photobiomodulation, the role of oxygen and ozone, skin substitutes and local negative pressure.
He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in national and international journals. He regularly participates in national and international industry congresses.
