Biography

Dr. Alberto Maria Cappelletti is the Head of the Department of Intensive and Semi-Intensive Care for Cardiac Patients at the Ospedale San Raffaele Clinical Research Institute.

In 1986, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, and in 1991, he specialized in cardiology and diseases of the cardiovascular system at the University of Bologna.

He holds the position of Vice-President of the Italian Society of Cardiology of Accredited Hospitals (SICOA), in which he is a member of the Scientific Work Committee and a permanent member of the Council.

He is a member of the Board of the School of Specialization in Cardiology, teaching as a visiting professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Master’s Degree program in Dentistry at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

Dr. Cappelletti has experience in all areas of cardiology: clinical cardiology, follow-up of patients undergoing revascularization with angioplasty, electrocardiography and dynamic Holter electrocardiography, echocardiography, ergometry, nuclear cardiology, intensive coronary therapy, interventional cardiology (coronary angiography, left-sided and right-sided cardiac, coronary and peripheral revascularization with bioprosthesis implantation, percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects, myocardial biopsy).

In terms of research, Dr. Cappelletti is an expert in clinical, interventional research for cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular risk factors. He is the author and co-author of over 50 publications in industry scientific journals. His H index is 8.
