Project Aim
- Realization of 4 surgical missions per year
- Training program for medical and paramedical local personnel
- To continue with 2 surgical missions per year
- Educational program on site during the clinical activity or at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato
Background of the Project
- 2500 children needing cardiac treatment per year (surgical or interventional procedure)
- 150 children per year are treated in Cameroon currently
- 2350 children per year have no chance to be treated locally
Objectives achieved
53 missions, and treated 547 patients
