Adult Spine Surgery

The Spine Surgery area at the Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio is among few reference hospitals in Europe to be accredited as a Center of Excellence by the European Spine Society for this specialty. It is made up of a vast network of multidisciplinary clinics (Orthopedic, Spinal Surgery, Neurosurgery, Neurological, Rheumatological, Physiological, Anesthetic - Pain therapy) that allows a 360° evaluation and management of a patient’s condition in every phase of his/ her treatment, ensuring a constant continuity of care.

Spinal deformities are treated, where possible, conservatively, using orthopedic braces associated with specific postural gymnastics and muscle strengthening programs or, where indicated, surgically. Surgical treatment is performed using the most modern correction and instrumentation techniques, adapted to the specific needs of the patient.
