Biography

Dr. Edoardo Conte is a Cardiologist and Deputy Coordinator of the Cardiovascular Outpatient Clinic at the University Cardiology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant'Ambrogio. He also collaborates with Palazzo della Salute – Wellness Clinic and Smart Clinic.

He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 2011 from the University of Milan, where he also completed his specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2017, again with highest honors.

Dr. Conte is a recognized expert in advanced cardiovascular imaging, particularly in the non-invasive study of coronary atherosclerosis, which has been the focus of much of his research. He has also studied pericardial diseases and sports cardiology. He is a Fellow of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and a member of both the Research Committee of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology and the ESC Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases.

His main clinical and scientific interests include:

  • Coronary CT and Cardiac MRI
  • Ischemic heart disease
  • Cardiomyopathies and heart failure
  • Sports cardiology
  • Pericardial diseases

His research focuses on early identification of coronary atherosclerosis using cardiac CT, pericardial diseases, and sports cardiology. He has authored over 150 publications in leading international scientific journals and has participated in more than 10 international multicenter studies. Dr. Conte is on the editorial board of several national and international journals and regularly speaks at professional conferences.
