Biography

Dr. Andrea Laurenzi is an endocrinologist at the General Medicine Unit with an endocrine-metabolic focus at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele. He also collaborates with Casa di Cura La Madonnina.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in 2005, where in 2010 he specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases.

His main clinical interests include type 1 diabetes (particularly diabetes technologies), type 2 diabetes, monogenic diabetes (MODY, mitochondrial diabetes, etc.), and primary and secondary dyslipidemias.

Dr. Laurenzi is Principal Investigator and Sub-investigator in numerous phase II and III clinical trials as well as in observational and spontaneous clinical studies. He is the author and co-author of scientific articles published in national and international journals, with an H-index of 15 in 2025. He regularly participates as a speaker at national and international congresses and teaches at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

He is a member of the Italian Society of Diabetology (SID), where he served on the Lombardy regional board from 2018 to 2022. He was also a member of the national Inter-associative AMD-SID-SIEDP Study Group on Technology and Diabetes (2018–2022), and since 2024 has been Coordinator of the Lombardy Working Group on Technology and Diabetes.
