Biography
Dr. Andrea Dorotei is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, where he works under the direction of Dr. Carlo Enrico Fiorentini and Dr. Augusto Dagnino.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan with highest honors (110/110 cum laude) and honorable mention, and later obtained his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology from Humanitas University in Milan.
His clinical and surgical practice focuses primarily on minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery, particularly through the AMIS anterior approach — a technique that allows for faster recovery and reduced postoperative pain.
He is also involved in regenerative medicine using stem cells, sports medicine (shoulder and knee disorders), and musculoskeletal trauma management.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dorotei has developed solid expertise in both surgical and conservative treatment of major orthopedic conditions, with an approach focused on improving patients’ quality of life and promoting early return to daily and sports activities.
