Morton's neuroma

What is it?

Which are the symptoms?

It manifests itself as an intense and aggravated pain when walking with paresthesia in the form of formication in the forefoot and toes.

How is it diagnosed?

How is it treated?

Initially, conservative therapy with the use of a supinator is used.

If the symptoms do not go away, surgical treatment is indicated, which is done under spinal anesthesia when the patient is conscious.

The average hospital stay is 2 days and involves removal of the neuroma, i.e., the traumatic nerve scar that is usually associated with the use of tight, high-heeled shoes.

The postoperative result is excellent.
