Tiziano Testori
Biography
Professor Tiziano Testori is a surgeon in the Odontostomatology Unit of the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1981 from the University of Milan, where he subsequently specialized in Odontostomatology in 1984 and Orthodontics in 1986. He then completed a Fellowship in oral and implant surgery at the University of Miami, Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant Dentistry (Director Prof. R. E. Marx), in Miami, FL, USA.
He achieved qualification as a First and Second Level Professor in the 2012 National Scientific Qualification examination and is a Contract Professor for the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the University of Milan. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Michigan University and serves as a Visiting Professor at Harvard University.
Together with F. Galli, M. Capelli, F. Zuffetti, and M. Esposito, he won the William R. Laney Award for the best scientific article (Int J Oral Maxillofac Implants. Sep-Oct 2007;22(5):815-22) at the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) Congress, San Diego, USA, on February 26-28, 2009. He was also awarded the International Prize for Research in Dentistry at the XVI edition in 2015 of the “Giornate della Scuola Medica Salernitana,” awarded by the Medical and Dental Association of the Province of Salerno.
He is the author of 4 books, also available in English, on Implantology and 11 international book chapters. Additionally, he has authored over 160 scientific articles indexed on PubMed with an H-index of 44 and participates in national and international conferences in the field.
